I’m Mark Tinker (Dip Clin Dent Rcs, Eng), Clinical Dental Technician at Changing Smiles, Gaining Confidence.I enjoy working closely with patients from initial consultation through impression to final fitting, with over 45 experience dealing with patients individual needs.
I find that having the chance to listen and understand my patient’s requirements and working with the patient through every step, means that the patient gets exactly what they want.I was one of the first groups of Clinical Dental Technicians (CDT’s) to be invited to attend the BPS Clinical course in Leichtenstein and was then in the first group of CDTs to be invited to attend the first Swiss Denture Concept course in Switzerland. I have completed three implant courses for full arch restorations to follow on from two previous implant courses attended at Kings College London. Gaining experience since 1977 in making and fitting dentures from the simplest single tooth temporary to the much more complex “all on four” full arch restoration techniques, I still regularly attend course updates for the best patient outcomes. Giles Saxon is the principal dentist at Aspire Dental Clinic and works closely with Mark. He qualified in dentistry from the University of Sheffield in 1990 and has been practicing in the Derbyshire area since. Committed to clinical excellence, Giles has attended numerous courses in various dental techniques across the UK and Europe. He holds post-graduate qualifications MFGDP (UK) and DPDS and is a member of the British Periodontal Society, the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the British Society of Occlusal Studies.
Giles works alongside Mark to ensure that patients receive thorough health checks and that individuals with partial dentures are assessed for any signs of gum disease or tooth decay before proceeding with treatment. He provides Mark with all the necessary diagnostic information, which is essential for planning and creating partial dentures tailored to each patient’s unique needs. This collaborative approach ensures that patients receive dentures that are comfortable, functional, and provide the best possible solution.
